Thank you for the donation that we received via the Neighbourly page, this will help run our Health Hub & support the young people in the area.

Thank you to the Surrey County Councillors Member’s Allocation for their donation of £1000 to go towards training for our volunteers & outside agencies that we work in partnership with. This part of the training will be undertaken in-house & will cover various topics that will help the volunteers & staff to support the young people we all work with.

An additional class of Singing with Georgie has been added to our calendar, starting today, on Monday afternoons. Bring your little one for a session of singing children’s songs & nursery rhymes.

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Farnham, for their continued support of the activities run here at 40 Degreez. Their kind donation from the proceeds of the Christmas street collections has been greatly received & will go towards one of the projects.

Following a recent increase on the uptake in the Girls Self Defence classes we are now pleased to offer an additional class on a Monday evening. This will enable all those attending to get the most out of the classes. Classes will be held Mondays 6.30 – 7.30pm & Tuesdays 6 – 7pm.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our team to research & apply for fundraising opportunities for ongoing running costs of 40 Degreez & specific activities/projects. Identifying & building relationships with donors and companies & manage fundraising events. In addition, to oversee all the advertising and marketing needs & events of 40 Degreez. This position is for 17 hours per week working on a Thursday & Friday. Assistant Youth Worker
Would you like to help make a difference in young people’s lives? We have a vacancy within our youth work team to assist the Lead Youth Worker in delivering a programme of exciting and innovative projects on behalf of 40 Degreez Youth Centre targeting 10 – 18 year old young people in the Farnham area. To work as part of the youth team in managing at least three projects or clubs per week in term time and a lively and challenging programme of projects and or clubs in the school holidays. This position is for 10 hours per week.

A big thank you to the Sainsbury’s Team at Neighbourly, we were successful in a grant & received £1000 to help in the running of the Health Hub. The young people of Farnham will benefit tremendously from the support of the staff & volunteers, bespoke workshops & activities during these sessions.

40 Degreez welcomes Georgie who runs a group for Mum, Dad, Nan or Grandad to bring along their little ones for a session of singing old school children’s songs & nursery rhymes accompanied by Georgie on her guitar & other instruments. Sessions are held on Friday mornings.
