We have been lucky enough to be granted a Waverley Borough Council, Thriving Communities Grant, this has enabled us to increase our youth worker, Simon’s hours & to employ our part assistant youth worker Sarah to run the existing Health Hub & Gardening Project & the additional project – the Drop in & to restart our Hangout club. As a small charity this has helped enormously to increase the amount of face to face youth work that we can provide.

Thank you to one of our continued supporters over the years, it is as always much appreciated, the Round Table voted to to donate £3000 to us. This money will help to keep 40 Degreez running & doing the work that we are renowned for.

This years grant from Farnham Town Council was received with thanks & will support the paid staff of 40 Degreez.

Thank you to the donation received from Sainsbury’s, this enables us to continue with our projects & support the young people of Farnham & the surrounding areas.

We’d like to say a big warm welcome to Sarah Harvey-Nevin, who now officially joins the 40 Degreez team as part time assistant youth worker.  Sarah will be supporting Simon in the various clubs that are run throughout the week, ranging from Girls Self Defence to the Health Hub.  Sarah’s baby will be the Gardening Project where with the help of the young people they will plan & progress the project.  Gardening is relaxing & therapeutic & will be used as such.  You can come down to see what is going on within the project & we won’t say no to help outside of club hours to tend the garden! 

Today sees the start of our new drop in, featuring board games! The Gardening Project has also been moved to a Saturday to enable everyone the opportunity to help out. The session runs each week 11 – 2pm, come along & test your wits on the various board games or to help Sarah out in the garden as it develops.

A big thank you to the Dempster Trust for their kind donation of £500, that will be helping to buy 2 new computers for the Zodiac suite. The suite has been asked to be reopened by the young people & the up to date PC’s will be greatly appreciated. Also a thank you to St Andrews Lodge for their kind donation of £500 to support 40 Degreez & the work that we do.
